Sometimes you dream about ways to contribute to the world and your community, and sometimes you take action.
This is us, taking action!
We are Ashley and Anthony, and we love animals. We have always had animals in our family, and understand the importance and responsibility of caring for domestic animals over the entire course of their lifespan.
Several years ago, we lost our sweet dog Sadie at the dignified age of 15. Sadie passed away at home with us, peacefully, surrounded by her pack and love. Losing our girl was beyond painful. However, in the months after, we discussed how fortunate we were to have a peaceful ending to her life; that even in her death, she was able to continue feeling safe and surrounded by her pack.
We half-heartedly started talking about how beautiful it would be to have a senior dog rescue -- a place where we could take in the silver muzzled senior dogs and ensure they felt safe, loved, cared for, and part of a family and a pack, right up to their final day...
As time moved on, and we were gifted more time to slow down, plan, and reflect during the pandemic, we began putting things into perspective. We evaluated our life, our passion, and our purpose. We only have a limited time in this life, and we want our lives to have purpose and meaning.
It became apparent to us what we wanted to do: Open an animal sanctuary in the Pacific Northwest on a large property, where we can take in and care for senior dogs.
This decision was made whole-heartedly.
Your support and contributions will enable us to meet our goal. Your generous donation will fund our mission.
